Hi @fatlouie21
It’s a bit of both really! Scientists can sign up for this on the IAS website, and then our one sentence descriptions of our work are shown to kids who vote on whether they would like to see us in the main competition or not.
Hi @fatlouie21
The same happened to me. I think its worked quite well but I’d be interested to know what you think. And did you volunteer or get chosen?
Suzi explained it really well. I think it is really good that people from schools taking part can get involved in choosing the scientists. Did you get a chance to choose the scientists that took part? If not you still get a chance to choose who stays by voting 🙂
I am enjoying using this site! I wish we had more oppurtunities to do live chats though. Anyway, the concept of the entire scheme is a great idea! 🙂
I’m glad you’re enjoying. I’m enjoying it and I know all of the other scientists are too. I wish I had more time to take part in live chats and answer questions.

I’ve been speaking to the other scientists and we’re all loving the live chats too! 🙂
