do you believe in magic like Harry Potter and I don’t get the why we believe the unbelievable stuff. 😐
Suzi commented on :
Hee hee, I don’t believe in magic like that (I WISH I could be a wizard though), but I really like magic tricks. It is strange why we believe things like superstitions and stuff, but it may be that in the past it’s helped us, so these strange beliefs are still around.

A lot of what you see on stage called ‘magic’ (like Derren Brown and stuff) is actually illusion, or what they call ‘sleight of hand’, which means using your hands in a tricky way so as to distract people from what you’re really doing). So the spectators can’t explain what they’ve seen, but that’s because their eyes weren’t quick enough to see the magician’s hand-movements, or they weren’t looking in the right direction (because they’d been distracted by the magician). That doesn’t stop me loving it, though – I had a magic set when I was a boy, and I still love to see magic. I like to wonder how they did it!
