Hi @winnie13
I believe there is yes! The Universe is soooo big, that there has got to be a chance that the set of circumstances that allowed life to form on this planet have happened somewhere else.
I agree – I think there is a good chance there is. Plus, as a scientist I feel i can’t say no for definite as we dont know for definite! I also hope there is. However, I think it will take a long time to find out and I’m not sure we’ll know in my lifetime. Or if we’ll ever know!
I definitely think there’s (probably) life somewhere else! I am not an astronomer, but, if you listen to people like Professor Brian Cox on the TV, it would actually be more surprising if there WEREN’T life anywhere else. The Universe is so big that it MUST have life somewhere else in it.
I think this too. I would love to meet this other life form. Also i guess i beleive it because it gives me something to think about. Also i really dont think that the Big Bang only created one peferect oasis where an Itelligent life from could live safely. :):):):):):):):):)
@crazy – I totally agree
@justiekeeling7 great question! I don’t know, I wonder why the ‘little green man’ became such a popular depiction of an alien. I think there would at least be really simple creatures, like amoeba, on other planets, even if they weren’t as ‘all singing all dancing’ as us!
I know – isn’t that MIND BLOWING! If is seems like at some point there was life on the planet RIGHT NEXT TO US, surely there must be life elsewhere too!!
I remember one of Brian Cox’s programmes as well, where they showed satellite images of Neptune or Uranus, and the rocks looked just like Earth’s, only frozen; and the rivers were liquid methane instead of water! Flowing and everything. I loved that.

Amino acids were found on Mars and dried up river beds! So I think there is life somewhere else!
