      Hi @aimeewalton1
      YES!
Being a scientist is brilliant, it’s exciting and makes your brain hurt all at once (in a good way!)

At the moment I’m a student, although the work I’m doing day-to-day is very similar to the work I did when I had a job as a research assistant. It’s a great job, you get a lot of time to yourself, no boss breathing down your neck (most of the time!), and you can be really flexible with your time. This is good for me as I play in a band so sometimes I need to leave work early to go and play a gig.

Hope this answers your question, I’d really recommend being a scientist to anyone who is interested in it! 🙂

      Hi @aimeewalton1

Yes, I love being a scientist. You can have days that are really exciting and you want to carry on and work late to get more experiments done. However, you can have really bad days where nothing works and you just want to go home or meet up with your mates. Luckily, the good days far outweigh the bad ones!

      Hi @aimeewalton1 and @aparker

No I don’t like my job – I LOVE it! It is great fun asking questions you really want to know the answer to. It isn’t easy, but it is well worth the effort 🙂

I love my job! I feel so privileged that people will pay me to do research that I find interesting enough to read about it in my spare time. And I get paid to listen to really interesting stories about the past! (That’s not what I do the interviews for, but it’s a great side-effect …)
