• Question: Do you think that in a few hundred years humans may loose their smallest toe because I heard that we only ever needed our small toes so that we could chase after our food however we do not do that anymore?

      Hi @purplegiraffe
Ooh, I’m not sure whether we’ll lose them. It doesn’t do us any ‘harm’ as such to have them, and sometimes we only ‘evolve’ when having or not having something is a benefit to passing on our genes. For example, we still have our appendix even though it hasn’t served a purpose for a long time, because there’s no harm to us to have it (apart from occasionally when it bursts, but we can treat this medically now so it doesn’t kill people very often).

      Hope this answers your question!
