• Question: Does the brain work differently if you are ortistic?

      Yes there is evidence that the brains of Autistic people are different from other peoples, but we don’t fully understand what it means yet. Most of the evidence suggests that a part of the brain called the pre-frontal cortex works differently.

      Yes, I agree with Tim’s answer. There is a high likelihood that people with Autism will have slightly different brain structure or function to those without it. But the illness is not fully understood, so research is still looking at what these differences may be, and what they may mean.
