Hi @boomitsgeorgia
I believe that our planet was created when a huge cloud of interstellar gas and dust (space dust!) started swirling about, and the gravity from each particle drew other particles towards it, and eventually they got so close together that they all made each other heat up, which fused them together.
If you asked a space scientist it would be a LOT more complicated than that, but basically, that’s how the earth was formed. And this happened a long time ago, about 4.6 billion years is the current estimate! Mind boggling!
Like Suzi, I believe in evolution (as most scientists do), so I believe the version about the Big Bang, where the Earth and all the other planets were gradually formed out of the matter that started to exist after the Big Bang. How the Big Bang itself happened is a different question!
