      Hi @k1i2z3

Calcium plays an important role in almost all of the tissues in your body!

However, more than 99 percent of the body’s calcium is contained in the bones and teeth. Bone is made up of collagen and calcium and is always growing or “remodelling”. Collagen is a protein that provides a soft framework, and calcium phosphate is a mineral that adds strength and hardens the bones framework. This combination of collagen and calcium makes bone strong and flexible enough to withstand stress so if you dont have enough calcium then your bones wont be able to grow so well or be as strong.

I hope this answers your question

      Hi @k1i2z3
Don’t think I can really add much to this, but someone else asked ‘how do bones grow’ and I’ve answered that, so have a look at that question if you’d like more info!

      Thanks for the question 🙂
