• Question: how many words do you speak in a day depending on whether you speak alot?!

      I’m afraid I have no idea how many words and average person speaks in a day, but whatever it is, I probably speak more, I am a right chatterbox (as you can probably tell by the amount of answers I’ve written on here!)

      I’d love to know how many words I’ve typed in a day while doing I’m a Scientist!!!

      Would you say you’re a quiet person or a chatterbox?

      I have no idea I’m afraid, but it would be very interesting to know. I’m sure someone must have estimated this. I know that the average active vocabulary (meaning number of words you use to communicate, so not including words you know but don’t use) has been estimated to be about 10,000 words – I don’t know how many of those you use in a typical day. Damien may have an answer.
