Question: If dreams are simply your brain creating images and your imagination wild whilst you sleep how come when you're awake and you close your eyes images do not come flooding to the front of your vision?
Hi @purplegiraffe
Good question!
I don’t know the answer I’m afraid, but your brain sends out impulses in different patterns when you’re asleep compared to when you’re awake, so I imagine your dreams are linked to these.
There have been quite a few other questions asked about dreams, have a look at them if you’re interested:
Thanks for answering my questions, i always thought that you dreamt in order to give something for your brain to do but I now know that dreams are simply your brain adding images to your thoughts.
