• Question: If you get new taste buds every 10 days is it? How come I don't eat different things every week?

      Hi @purplegiraffe
Taste buds are like most other cells in our body – they don’t last a long period of time so they are destroyed and get replaced every 10 days or so. But this won’t change how you taste things – the taste buds themselves are just ‘receptors’ they pick up the ‘taste’, but it’s the brain that works out what that means in terms of the sensation we feel as ‘taste’.

Hope this helps – let me know if you want more info!
