• Question: If you got cut off and couldn't do your research anymore what reasearch would you do?

      Do you mean if I had to move to a different research field?
      In the past I applied to do a PhD investigating whether colour can affect emotion, so if I couldn’t do the PhD I’m doing I would like to look at that.

      But I’d rather do this though 🙂

      It would depend on how I was cut off. If there was even one other person there, we would hopefully be talking to each other, so I would find something linguistic to look at there! That’s the beauty of my subject: there are interesting things to study anywhere where people are talking to each other.

      If there were no other people there, but I had books or the Internet, I’d find something interesting about written language to study, and I’d probably try and learn another language as well, but that’d be more difficult if there were no speakers of it around to practise on …
