  I very gently cut them out from the brain of a 4 day old rat, it sound cruel but the rats are very well cared for and they are killed in a humane way in agreement with many home office guidelines. I treat the animals with a lot of respect and make sure I use the full potential of the tissue, I would not be doing it if it wad not essential for my research.

Question: Out of curiousity where do you get the brain slices from?
