      I think I remember your question, wasn’t it about how radioactivity affects us? Or did you want to know something specific about the Chernobyl disaster?

      There is a great webpage on ‘acute radiation syndrome’ which many of the fire and rescue workers involved in the Chernobyl disaster would have suffered.
