• Question: why are we the same as monkeys?

      Do you mean why do people say we evolved from the same ancestor?
      The evidence from fossil records, and from DNA analysis suggests that it wasn’t too long ago that we came from a common ancestor with monkeys. This doesn’t mean that we evolved FROM monkeys, but rather somewhere in the past there was a creature, and two populations of it set off in different ways, one of which went on to become humans, and one to become apes.
