      Hello,

I am not really sure this is or ever will be a satifactory explination to this, but I know that a oxytocin is known as the cuddle hormone and is released when you get close to someone.

      Thanks.

      Hi @batman96

There may be a scientific reason to do with chemicals in the brain and things like that, but sometimes I think it’s better to just be swept along in the fun of falling in love, and not think too much about what your brain is up to 🙂

But maybe I’m just a bit of a romantic 🙂

      Hi @batman96

      Wow, great question!
i went to a lecture about this a while back and lots of chemicals, including oxytocin that Simon told you about, were mentioned. I came away from the lecture thinking it was a really interesting subject but that maybe there wasnt a purely biological reason for falling in love and that maybe I dont want there to be one!
