• Question: Why do people keep saying the world will end in 2012? Will it?

      I think it’s do to with an ancient prophesy made by the Mayans (in Central America). People have interpreted their writings and said it means that the world will end next year.

      However, if you go to Central America and speak to people descended from the Mayans themselves, they won’t know what you’re on about! They think it’s nonsense.

      So do I, the world won’t end (I hope!)

      There have been lots of prophecies that the world is going to end, at least since the times of the Bible, and probably before then too. None of them have been true so far, so I can’t see any reason why this one would be, and I don’t think it is! It makes good film material, though, so we’re going to keep hearing about it …

    I’m always paranoid when these new disasters happen, especially the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, everything comes at once and it gets me really paranoid. But there was supposed to be a judgement day last month, that never happened, and the man who said it would happen hasn’t been seen since so I guess that was false.

    I think so! It seems these people like to scare us sometimes 🙁
    The way I see it, as long as you’re living your life the way that makes you happy, if the world ends at least you’ve lived the best you could.
    What do you think?
    (I don’t think the world will end any time soon though 🙂 )

    The guy who said the world was going to end last month changed his prophecy after it didn’t: he said that the day last month was only going to be the beginning of the Last Days, and that we probably didn’t notice, and that the actual end of the world was going to be next October, I think. But, as I say, I don’t think it will be.

    The important thing is that Suzi is right. We all just have to do our best.
