• Question: why do we have emotions?

      Hi @ailhep123
      The basic reason we have emotions is to help us make judgements, strange as that may sound. You may feel you’re sometimes led astray by your ‘heart’ and it’s best to follow your ‘head’, but for example if you hear a noise in your house in the dead of night, your emotional response causes a release in chemicals that will make you alert and able to ‘fight or flee’.
