• Question: why do we have habits ?

      I don’t know the answer to this. I wonder whether following a routine has benefits from our past, so this type of behaviour has evolved?

      I’m afraid I don’t know why we have habits. Although I do know that habits can be quite comforting because they provide us with something familiar. Some children develop strange habits to find something familiar when they are feeling upset, but I don’t think that is why we all develop habits.
