0 Question: WHY DO WE SEE RAINBOW COLOURS ON A C.D? Keywords: rainbow Asked by susejdog to Damien, Rachael, Simon, Suzi, Tim on 20 Jun 2011.
Suzi Gage answered on 20 Jun 2011:
Hi @susejdog We see rainbow colours on a CD because the surface of the CD reflects light in the same way a prism does, it breaks up the white light in to all the colours that make up the light – all the colours of the rainbow.
I hope this answers your question 🙂
