      Hi @ellapowerxxx
Ooh that is a good question!
I would LIKE to win because I hope that I’ll be able to answer your questions to the best of my ability, and you’ll find it interesting and most importantly FUN! And I’d like to win so that I can spend the money on making podcasts that will be useful to young people like you as well!

That said, I wouldn’t want to say I SHOULD win (but I really hope I do!)

      I agree – good question!
I hope whoever wins makes science seem fun and interesting to you.
I’d like to win so I can spend the money helping people who’ve hit their heads and have brain injury. It can happen to anyone, from babies to grandparents so its important we have good ways to look after them and that people understand what brain injury is.

I would like to win this competition because I think that sociolinguistics, which I do, is something that most people would find really interesting if they only knew about it! Not enough people do. They’d find it really interesting because it’s often about looking at things that every speaker of English (or French, etc!) knows are true, but they don’t know WHY they are true – we look at it scientifically and find out why, and then, often, people go “Oh yeah! I KNEW that!”. I’d love the chance to show more people this kind of public science!
