Why doesn’t the left side of the brain control the left side of the body and the right side of the brain control the

Question: Why doesn't the left side of the brain control the left side of the body and the right side of the brain control the right side of the body???? :) ;)

  Hmm, I’m not sure I know the reason. The biological reason is that the nerves that go in to the brain from the body cross over when they get in to the brain, but why this would have evolved is not known (well, it’s not known by me anyway – maybe one of the others knows!)
