• Question: You know some people can donate their organs when they die, can people donate if in there life they have taken drugs and alot of alchohol or is the drugs and alchohol still in their organs? thanx :)

      Great question.
      Anyone can be an organ donor (and it’s a great thing to do, in my opinion). The only reason you can’t be an organ donor is if you’re HIV positive, or if you have CJD (the human form of mad cow disease).

      If you die because of alcohol or drug problems, your organs can still be used by other people as long as they are still healthy and able to function properly. The organs (or blood) are checked before they’re given to another person.
