      Hi @morgansheridan
I’m afraid I’m not sure as I didn’t study neuroscience, but hopefully someone else will know.

I would imagine biology and maths at A-Level would be useful, and maybe Chemistry too…but that’s a guess. On University websites they put their entry requirements for each subject, so you could try looking there, or ask your careers adviser at school.

      Sorry I can’t answer your question 🙂

      Hi morgansheridan

I have 9 GCSEs and then did 3 A-Levels – biology, chemistry and french to get into my neuroscience degree course (at Nottingham university). I’d say the biology would be the most important of these but you may well need at least 2 science A-levels.

However, you dont necessarily need a neuroscience degree to become a neuroscientist. A lot of neuroscientists I work with studied biochemistry or cell biology or physiology. Almost all of them do have a degree though.

As Suzi suggested, check the university websites for their requirements.

I would definitely recommend studying neuroscience at university – I loved it!
