• Question: where does the iris go (the coloured bit in your eye) go when your pupil expands? does it get eaten?

      Hi @chloetaylorx
      Thanks for the question. The iris in your eye is connected to a pair of muscles, one of which stretches the iris out, when your pupil (the hole) contracts, and the other which pulls it back in folds inside your eye when the pupil expands.

      So no, it doesn’t get eaten, just hidden a bit!
